The New Orleans Council on Aging, incorporated in 1974 is a private, non-profit corporation that services as the Area Agency on Aging for Orleans parish. As such, it is responsible for seeing that a comprehensive and coordinated assortment of social, recreational, educational, employment and nutritional services are make available for all persons aged 60 and over in the City of New Orleans.
